Well set up and well run clubs are, without doubt, one of the most effective ways of managing any sport. PW's are no exception, the result of peer pressure can never be underestimated. There are a number of PW clubs in the UK who do a fantastic job, by shifting control of craft away from local and harbour authorities.

During the past years clubs have been set up in Clacton, the Solent and Herne bay in what can only be described as a very professional manner, with quite astonishing results. The dedication of the organisers and members never fails to impress; in all these areas, difficult situations have been resolved for everybody's benefit.

There are also a number of new clubs being set up or clubs being re-generated with assistance from the PWP at the moment. Southend for example, where a proactive approach by a number of enthusiasts has resulted in the re-generation of what is now a very successful club with extensive membership advantages.

If you are looking at joining an existing club, please look at the UK PWC clubs list on this website to find your local club and their contact information.

If you run a club or would like advice and assistance in setting one up then please look through the pages on this website which will give you many of your answers or email us for more information.
