The Mic Randle Award for 2006

Elizabeth Holiday of Kent County Council was presented with the Mic Randle Award by David Pougher at the MEEMA Annual Dinner in January.

As the newly appointed Chairman of MEEMA, David Pougher, Divisional Manager, Marine of Yamaha Motor UK, congratulated Liz on her outstanding efforts ‘over and above the call of duty’ on behalf of PW riders.

Chris Neville-Parry, Executive Director of the Personal Watercraft Partnership said: ‘She has done a remarkable job in putting together the Kent Coastal Network in a very professional manner and has maintained the momentum over a number of years. She is a shining example of how to do things properly and of how to succeed though absolute determination. Her dedication to PW management in the area has been an enormous help to all concerned and has in fact allowed a number of new launch sites to be opened up.’

The Mic Randle Award can be presented annually to the person who the PWP feel has contributed most to the safe development of the sport. Mic was one of the originators and pioneers of the PW Training Course who sadly died in 2003.
