The PWP has been set-up to represent the PWC industry and to provide information and resources to authorities, harbours etc to help them assess potential issues (safety, environment, noise etc) with the use of PWCs in their area, and provide tools and information to help manage their use.
The PWP has been successful in all areas, and this success coupled with the joint publication of the Personal Watercraft Management Guide between the RYA, BMF and the PWP is now an internationally recognised publication for the management of Personal Watercraft.

The PWP web-site has been broken into two major parts:
From an authorities point of view both sections should be read in conjunction with one another. The authorities section specialises on the management issues faced by an authority, and contains contact details of all relivent organisations which can help plan and manage the use of Personal Watercraft.
The users area is aimed at Personal Watercraft users in one instance, however is also there as a resource of information which can be taken and included within your own leaflets, signs and linked to from your web-site. The users area also provides details of all the PWC clubs who have worked with the PWP over the years and details their efforts in conjuntion with the local authorities to help manage water users, in many cases they not only manage PWC users but all powered watercraft.
