The PWP were heavily involved in the creation of the new PW Management Guide which was released at the Southampton Boat Show in September 2003. This was to up-date the one that has been used most successfully for over five years.

The guide itself contains all the information that is required to put in place management programmes that are easily administered and fair to all concerned. The guide contains case studies from councils and harbour authorities that control (in one case over 1100 PW), without any problems.

The new guide has been widely distributed and has been well received by all concerned. It once again has become the recognised text book on the subject and used by all those involved in the management of PW around our coastline. Many additional requests have been received for copies from a wide selection of people, for example, torist boards, environmental groups, prospective clubs and individule council members.
