 About the PWP

You may have heard of the Personal Watercraft Partnership, many haven't, even those heavily involved in the port - the reason for this is that for over 10 years we have been working in the background, fighting for your rights. If we were too in focus, we wouldn't be doing our job! Afterall, the idea is to pre-empt issues and manage them before they become a problem; obviously this cannot be the case 100% of the time, but we have no doubt that it would be alot more telling if we didn't exist.

Who we are:- The PWP is a group of bodies involved in the PW industry in the UK; from manufacturers, the RYA, publishing, theft prevention to insurance broker's. This is probably the only part of their jobs that involves ignoring their competitive positions and joining together for the good of the sport.

What we do:- Our motto is 'Action NOT Reaction' where possible we are here to help authorities implement effective PW management schemes, therefore resolving issues rather than simply banning them. What is less know is that we are also heavily involved with assisting PW clubs around the country, encouraging RYA training and education, giving advice on theft prevention methods, insurance and legal issues. Along with calming media up-roar when minor incidents that involve PW's are too often blown out of proportion. The lucky thing about our position is that we have the expertise of so many large and skilled companies who know everything about their individual sector.

Who we deal with:- It is a common misconception that we purely deal with authorities, marine poice, harbour masters and councils; this is not the case, though much of our work involves these bodies we are also here to help recreational riders and clubs. You would be suprised at how much we might be able to help you. So, if you need advice or assistance, just drop us an email.

To keep waterways open to responsible PWC riders means that the PWP needs to be made aware of any problems, when they first occur, so we have a chance to rectify them. So don't stand back and watch - TAKE ACTION.
